In 2012, I invited my readers for the first time to join me for a deeper conversation on a now defunct video platform called Google Hangouts. One person showed up. It was an amazing conversation. Now, dozens of readers show up for those conversations from month-to-month, I host them on Zoom, they are even more amazing, and we call them Courtyard Conversations.
Traditionally, a courtyard is the safe space in the center of a dwelling where its people can gather. So, Courtyard Conversations are the safe space in the center of my online community where the core members of our tribe can gather to discuss topics essential to becoming more fully and more beautifully human.
