The kids are back to school and the house is still. The windows are open and a cool breeze invites itself in. Acorns are rat-a-tat-tatting on the roof. Chipmunks are busy shelling them on the patio outside my office door. The leaves aren’t yet changing in the treetops, but you can feel it coming. Autumn is a time of transition and transformation.
Along with it this year comes three big announcements—one ending, one switch, and one change.
First, the ending. The registration deadline for Companion Camp 2023 is two weeks from today. We have three spots remaining, and we’d love to see you there!
Second, the switch. When I started this Substack, I chose to make posts related to the new non-fiction book I’m writing, The Inner Gathering: A Guided Encounter with Your Original Self and Its Three Protectors, free to everyone, and posts related to my random musings exclusive to paid subscribers. My wife recently told me that makes no sense because those random musings much more closely resemble my old blog posts, which I’ve always offered for free to everyone. She’s right, as usual. So, from now on, my monthly “blog post” will be free to everyone again, and posts related to The Inner Gathering will be exclusive to paid subscribers. It’s not a bait and switch, I promise. It’s just a switch.
Finally, the change. I’m changing the way our monthly Courtyard Conversations work for paid subscribers. Previously, we’ve focused on whatever topic I chose to write about that month. Going forward, you are going to choose the topics. A couple of weeks prior to our meeting, I’ll send out a query in our Substack Chat, something like, “What topic related to worthiness, belonging, or purpose is most important to your growth as a human being right now?” and one of those topics you offer will become the focus of the hour. Also, we’re going to approach the hour more like a group coaching session, in which we explore the practicalities of healing, wholing, and humaning.
I’m looking forward to entering into this new season with all of you in each of these ways!
Much love,
Kelly
Thank you for modeling what it looks like to allow evolution to happen. Timely as always! And I love the new direction.
Kelly,
I took your workshop in Wichita. Front row, short, 63. Originally from Danville, Ill. Excited to dive in with what you’re doing. All God’s best to you!
